Rainbows & Spectrums

From soul searching to sole searching over to hue searching.
To get to know you a little, an horoscopist's needs to look through you, but me (I'd like to believe ) just a gaze, an articulate peek through you your wardrobe is enough.

Color psychology is an infamous way of changing people's lifestyle, moods, behavior, luck, surroundings. Colors have a lot of meaning & depth, and they can be used to bring change in your life accordingly.
In my current free time, I have taken up the art of studying color, color wheel, and all things rainbow.
So lets get started.

First step -
Pick your favorite color-
I have always been a purple gal (proof - read my blog name :p)warm
shade on my skin tone. If I ever have to get my picture clicked for
documents and passports, I always wear purple. It instantly makes me
glow and when I learnt about this color, it was so true . Hence I am
  sharing this  with you.

Second Step -
Look at your wardrobe. Which colors do you see the most?

I see a lot of black & whites and surprisingly a lot  a huge collection in
shades, tones and tints of RED, i.e red, orange, coral & pink. Looks like took the color of the year very seriously.hmmm.So finally, I have Red and Orange as my popular colors. In this piece, black & white are not treated as color. So skip when you see them as your popular colors & search a different color.

Third Step -
Read about your favorite color first, and then move onto the colors which you have the most. Do not Cheat.

Red

Want to get someone’s attention? Red is your color! The color red empowers and draws attention toward the wearer. It’s also strongly associated with romance and passion, making it a perfect date-night color. But be careful – it’s also been said that red stimulates the appetite and makes us hungry for junk food, so wear with caution if you’re trying to eat healthier.

Put some red in your life when you want:
  • increased enthusiasm and interest
  • more energy
  • action and confidence to go after your dreams
  • protection from fears and anxieties

Orange
Like red, orange draws attention and energy, but unlike intense red, it’s a little more soothing. While orange is a difficult color for some skin tones to pull off, if you have the coloring to work it, orange will help put you in a positive, energetic mood.
Put some orange in your life when you want:
  • to spice things up when you feel time is dragging
  • to become more involved in something
  • to increase creativity
  • relief from things becoming too serious

Yellow
Sunny shades of yellow are the perfect thing to cheer you up on a bad day, so if you’re feeling down, wearing yellow could help perk you back up. Yellow is also associated with intelligence and inspiration, so wearing something yellow on the day of your big final exam might help you come up with some extra answers.
Put some yellow in your life when you want:
  • clarity for decision-making
  • relief from 'burnout', panic, nervousness, exhaustion
  • sharper memory and concentration skills
  • protection from lethargy and depression during dull weather

Green
Shades of green are calm and soothing, as well as associated with nature and the outdoors. That’s why green is one of spring’s most popular shades. Green is also refreshing and has been found to reduce stress in those who look at it. If you’re feeling really overwhelmed during finals week, add green to your outfit and you might feel more relaxed.
Put some green in your life when you want:
  • a new state of balance
  • feel a need for change or growth
  • freedom to pursue new ideas
  • protection from fears and anxieties connected with the demands of others

Blue
Blue is a color that can be both peaceful and calming as well as cold and standoffish. If you’re feeling really stressed out, the color blue can help you feel more relaxed. If you’re sad, however, you might want to steer away – the color blue can subconsciously make you feel more “blue.” Studies also show that blue can make you more creative, so if you want to channel some genius for your art project, wearing blue might be able to help. It can’t hurt, right?
Put some blue in your life when you want:
  • calm and relaxation to counteract chaos or agitation
  • to open the flow of communication
  • to broaden your perspective in learning new information
  • solitude and peace

Purple
Regal and sophisticated, purple is associated with creativity and luxury. Like red, purple is a very stimulating color which can boost your energy level when you see it. It’s also a color that’s sometimes associated with spirituality and intuition, so if you’re having trouble making a decision, paint your nails lavender and see what comes to you.
Put some violet in your life when you want:
  • to use your imagination to its fullest
  • to re-balance your life
  • to remove obstacles
  • to calm overactivity or to energize from depression

 Pink
Of course we all know pink as the true girly-girl’s favorite color, but it’s also associated with romance and happiness. Pink is very calming, so don’t wear it if you need tons of energy. Because of its romance association, pink is a good choice for a date. You can also wear it anytime you’re a little bummed out for a boost. Of course, if you personally hate pink, then (obviously) this won’t work for you.
Put some pink in your life when you want:
  • calm feelings
  • to neutralize disorder
  • relaxation
  • acceptance, contentment .Source.

See how easy was that! So now I know my sudden hunger cravings begin with my infatuation towards Red!
If ever you feel uneasy, discomfort or plain smashed perhaps changing colors of your walls or clothes may help!
And always remember, Spring time = Happy time!

xoxox,
C'est fini.
