Here's a bit of trivia: petticoats have been around since before the year 1585! Do you know what that means? It means they work. What else do we still use from the 1500's? Fire? The wheel? I have another interesting fact: petticoats weren't used at all during and for awhile after WWII, due to rationing, but they were brought back in 1947 by Christian Dior's New Look.
So there you have it, petticoats are tried and true, and most importantly, endorsed by Christian Dior. If you've got a wedding, pageant, or any kind of special occasion coming up and you want to get her ball gown silhouette just right, head over to Sophia's Style and check out our girls petticoat slips, girls slips, and flower girl petticoat slips.
