Every year, at the beginning of each season I face a challenge; buying clothes & accessories of the seasons latest trends (read : monochrome, neon, stripes for now) . b.) 2 in One - Try to find a top which has two trends simultaneously infused together. Like the second one, it has - Stripes & Florals. I also see so many tops in Peplum with lace fabric= good choice. We are trying to kill two birds with one stone, or not!
c.) Color-blocked/ Multi Colored Shirt - For those who are extra fun and like dressing up then such shirts are so chic. INSTEAD of carrying a contrasting handbag, wearing coloblocked shirt with blue jeans and pair of high heels is more fun. (please do not end up wearing a color blocked bag & the contrast shirt at the same time = FAIL!)
4.) Flats:-
I am a high heels girl, Once I enter into a shoe store (or an online website, in this case) I directly gravitate towards heels with four inches or more. But then, real life happens and a pair of flats are important
You can either pick these gorgeous riveted beauties which you can wear straight until they are worn out or a cute cat faced flats for those who like to experiment and be a little adventurous.

Summer Chic

My exams got over a dayback, and I am really looking forward for the next phase (I am a graduate now!) But since I missed out on so many sitcoms for the last two months I have been watching them continuously.

Ok, honest confessions, I have a hard time to come out of movies, like I am not kidding. The other day I watched Iron Man, and I just felt all of what Spark's character was saying, like it was intended for me, (I mean they showed the emotional side of him but I took it as, it was all for me). Like how crazy am I?

So, my friend forces me to watch movies, and onetime he asked me to watch Thor before watching Avengers, to understand the movie clearly and the superheroes too. OMFG, why did I watch it, I thought for 3 days that someone is up there with all the evil powers and the demi god is going to protect all of us.
And its not just with movies but also sitcoms - especially Supernatural. I remember asking my sister after watching a season that 'this is not true, right?' cause I don't know a writer is making up crazy shit where a child (a ghost) is roaming with a knife killing people and then eating the organs and killing that child is SOMEONE'S JOB or doesn't Leviathans, vessels, word of god, Purgatory sound fancy? I would want to hunt down ghosts and demons and later have an heart-to-heart with The Death. And I am not even going to begin with The Game of thrones. just ending it there.

I think its normal, right? I see my guy friends enacting an Avenger all the time or even when I look to my left, I see my Dad. Who thinks he is a James Bond, for legit (The man opens house doors as if there is an enemy on the other end with a gun in his hand).  So I can't be the only crazy one.:p

Twice a Charm part deux

The colors and I share a love-hate relationship right now. We love each other but never seem to work on and interpret it through my outfits. 

Like yesterday, I was thinking of wearing a coral top with mint jeans but ended up wearing black jeans.Does this happen to you? You find colors sometime too daunting and scary to pull the look off?
Well I have a solution for that. Just read the entire post + images.

Find colorful accent pieces and stick with neutrals for the outfit
By accent pieces I mean, choosing bright/ colorful accessories to go with your look.
Like in this outfit, the main element is an Obi belt which is a burst of color and at the same time trendy by highlighting  springs fav - Florals / Bright Colors / Bold Print

While I also love playing around pops of color, balancing my Asos blue box-handbag with blue accessories+ Picking up and including the colors found in my obi belt and then trickling it through my neutral outfit completes the look.

P.S.- I have my University Exams coming this month, (phew!) Hence I would be on a blogging break for this entire month. Ofcourse I will be active on my social media platforms, see you there.

Skechers Sport Shoes Review : GoRun

Hey!Hey!
Today I would like to introduce you a shoe company called Skechers, a multi-billion dollar leading player in the footwear industry. They primarily manufacture sport – Performance generated or Lifestyle shoes.

Skechers recently launched their Spring and Summer 2013 collection for men and women using the various trends prevailing (like neons & monochrome) and they showcased a preview to us bloggers and other media delegates, which I graciously attended!

They have a huge (like, literally) variety of shoes and offer equally interesting styles in Men as well as Women. What caught my eye the first instance were the GoRun Series.

The GoRun Series consists of radically lightweight sports footwear , which flexes and twists with your feet.
The M-strike Technology allows you to strike mid- foot while the design gives you a more natural running experience allowing you to interact with and respond to practically any surface.

What it claims –
  •        Innovative Placement allows GOimpulse sensors (on the bottom of the shoe) to move together and independently.
  •      M-Strike technology promotes a mid-foot strike
  •       Sockless Running- Integrated Ortholite which is anti-microbial sock liner helps inhibit odour   and prevent slippage.
  •          Mid-sole cushioning for protection.

My thoughts –
I need a good pair of sports shoes in my closet. It my one of the essential items in my list.
When I picked up the shoe it literally felt like I am holding an empty plastic bottle.
When you wear these shoes it takes the shape of your foot. And I say this because I have a slight arch and the shoe's midsole weirdly hit me (the mid sole is elevated) in the beginning but after a while using it, they just fitted me well. If you are a flat foot I definitely recommend these.
Baaamm, they are washable, the entire thing, which is such a blessing!

Black and White

The Chinese philosophy calls it the Yin and Yang. The colors, especially 'Grey' are deeply indebted to them. Some weddings calls for it. And while Men swear by it undoubtedly, Audrey Hepburn is known for it.  

At the most surprising time, the Heavy-Duty Stylish Fashionistas are catching upon the much highlighted Spring 2013 trend called B&W  a.k.a The Black and White trend.
Spring and B&W? Yes, designers right from Marc Jacobs to Phillip Lim , from DVF to Oscar dela Renta and many more have embraced this particular trend!

The thing which I like about the B&W trend is, anyone and everyone can rock these two colors and you don't have to step outside your comfort zone to wear them. Also it is the most wearable fashion trend of the 'year'.

If you are really in the mood of trying this trend then I suggest picking out some unusual picks in B&W.
Go for textured pants, black and white shirt or perhaps something like what I have worn self printed black or white peplum dress (Make your own peplum top)
Don't forget to add a red pout to dress-up the look by a notch.

Striped Out


The Trend spotters have informed me that Stripes are going to be the ‘it’ trend for this year’s spring and summer.

And when black and white monochrome stripes manoeuvres to neon’s, chevrons, peplums with other equally fascinating spring and summer 2013 trends, you can be a good solid fashionista in the making.

Believe it or not, stripes no longer mean donning a convict’s attire. Chose your pick, are you a chevron stripe or a nautical stripe? Stripes in neon’s or pastels?  Graphical or traditional?

With so much of variety, I believe in going all out. Fun, peppy and bright colours are my go to mantra for choosing stripes. And don’t hesitate in picking vertical stripes to look lean, tall and elegant.

This is my version of Stripes with bright colours in a fun print. Coral + Mint Green is an eye-popping bright match; hence I decided to go with neutrals as far as accessories are concerned.
